The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but working on building the new

WHAT IS MENTAL HEALTH?

Mental health is the interaction between the psychological mind, our emotional mind and our body. A balance creates a state of well being; an imbalance creates distress and emotional/physical flux. Mental health is considered healthy when an individual is able to go about the daily acts of living while feeling content and or secure in the outcome. Unhealthy mental health is when the opposite is experienced.

Being in balance is not easy to maintain without experience, techniques or support; admitting something is wrong and then seeking help can be even more difficult.

Mental health therapy is used to help those whom are in imbalance understand what the imbalance is, and then to create change within their lives. This can look like quite different depending on the individual and what they are struggling with. For some, having someone to talk to is all that is needed; someone whom is safe to confide in. For others, depression (a period of sadness lasting longer than two-weeks), anxiety (a general fear of the unknown), stress (feeling tired or mentally/physically fatigued) or other mental illness has taken hold and assistance is needed in order to regain their lives.

If you or someone you love is struggling with any of the above, please feel free to call and talk with one of our mental health practitioners who can give more details and answer any questions you may have.
